The world’s preeminent art event returns to Miami Beach for its fourteenth year consecutive year, putting the perennial Florida hotspot at the nexus of ground-breaking showings from the masters of modern and contemporary art. A total of 267 leading galleries from around the world and art lovers from the US and Latin America descend upon the cultural hotspot to experience the best of today’s art world.
This year’s participants feature curated works by more than 4000 from galleries in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, films and editioned work are on display in the main exhibition hall at Miami Convention Center, while ambitious large-scale artwork, films and performances are showcased in the outdoor spaces at Collins and SoundScape Parks.
For first time attendees, Art Basel’s showings are divided into carefully defined exhibition sectors that provide visitors the opportunity to see many different types of important works, from historical masterpieces to the work of the newest generation of artists.
