Set on a cliffside, the new resort is more than 2100 acres of pristine Caribbean jungle overlooking Playa Grande, one of the finest beaches in the region. Amenities include a spa, dining, and many planned events.
The Spa at Amanera which features two treatment rooms, while therapies can also be enjoyed in the privacy of your Casita. The Restaurant makes use of fresh local ingredients while diners enjoy expansive views and the serenity of a central cascading water feature.
Looking for a more active adventure? Golfers are in luck: there’s an 18-hole course set within the rainforest, while guided hikes and mountain bike outings, kayaking, kiteboarding, and nature walks through the resort’s 373 acres of jungle are also on the menu of outdoor amenities to take advantage of.
Amanera’s Casitas dot the lush coastline with unobstructed ocean views. The two-bedroom Bay View Casa and 24 freestanding Casitas are perched atop 60-foot cliffs at the western tip of Playa Grande beach. Designed by architect John Heah, the minimal, clean-lined interiors are complemented by floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the ocean. Overhanging eaves shade expansive terraces with outdoor dining and lounging areas, while inside, the floor-to-ceiling glass doors lead to rooms specially positioned to maximise views. All Casitas feature lofty ceilings and warm wooden finishes. Thirteen of the available casitas also boast their own 32-foot pool for your private enjoyment.
