Search results that track online interest from overseas markets in South Florida real estate have a new entry atop the leaderboard. For the first time, Colombians have come in tops, unseating Brazil, which has held the number one spot for the past six months.
It’s a strong showing from the country of 48 million that purchases the fourth-most South Florida real estate among all foreign countries and represents 8% of all foreign South Florida deals registered in 2014.
“Colombian home buyers have a long history of purchasing South Florida real estate, so the fact Colombia has overtaken Brazil for the most web property searches is not a surprise,” said Miami-based Realtor Christopher Zoller.

Venezuela buyers came third and French buyers fourth in the ranking of online real estate searches for South Florida real estate. Argentina, Canada, India, Peru, Spain and Italy make up the rest of the top 10.
