Guests will have the opportunity to savor a 10 course tasting menu, highlighting the finest Mexican ingredients and the most inspiring cuisine in Central America.
The four day event will be hosted by Chef Ricardo de La Vega of Frida, who is one of the featured chefs, and Michel Mustière, Maître Cuisinier de France, executive chef of Grand Velas Riviera Maya. The resort was recently awarded the AAA Five Diamond award for its 10th consecutive year and now proudly boasts a total of 18 Diamonds. It also owns Cocina de Autor, the only restaurant in the world to be part of an all-inclusive which holds the AAA Five Diamond award. Along with the resort’s French restaurant Piaf and Mexican restaurant Frida, both of which hold Four Diamonds, these restaurants represent the epitome of fine Mexican dining.
Chef Alegandro Heredia, who is recognized as the best Mexican chef of the 20th century, will be named ambassador of Frida during this October’s event. Frida offers traditional Mexican cuisine and its signature dishes are packed with vibrant colors and flavors as a reflection of Mexico’s rich culinary history.
