Attention Costa Rica: The Kardashians have landed. The United States’ First Family of entertainment touched down in Guanacaste on the country’s Pacific north coast in January 2017. Unsurprisingly, they chose to hunker down in one of Costa Rica’s finest private properties, Villa Manzu. This 30,000 square-foot Papagayo Peninsula stunner is spread over five lush acres and rents for over $23,000 a night–180 degree ocean views included.
The eight suites have sleeping options for 15 people. The beds are allocated as five king bed suites, a double queen suite, a double king suite, and a custom finished bunk room with 4 twins and 2 king beds. All of the eight suites offer oversized televisions, a minibar with morning coffee service, walk-in closets with Costa Rican hardwood detailing, and full bathroom suites with tubs and showers finished in onyx, marble and custom tiling.
Renters are treated to a private yoga platform, jacuzzi, gym, two swimming pools and an array of water-oriented activities, including stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and surfing. The property comes fully-equipped with three vehicles, gold golf carts and a fleet of bikes, as well.
A network of winding pathways leads to several nearby and secluded beaches. For those looking for a little social action, Playa Prieta Beach Club is a good, nearby option for drinks. Other nearby properties include a new Hard Rock Hotel, the Ritz-Carlton, W Hotel, Rosewood Papagayo and many other bars and restaurants. Villa Manzu is a 40-minute drive from the Liberia airport (LIR), which is accessed via private transport through the villa.
